Arçelik's R&D Vision
Our vision focuses on the agile development of new technologies and services related to smart, digitally secure, interoperable, and cost-efficient home solutions, designed to help reduce environmental impacts through their life cycle.
Arçelik's R&D Strategies
We develop solutions that focus on energy and resource management, autonomous products, technologies related to environmental and resource‑efficiency topics, computer vision, and personalized experiences accross product development and manufacturing processes.
Our approach includes careful material selection, including the use of materials that can be recycled where suitable systems are available, as well as the consideration of renewable energy sources in relevant operational contexts.
Through digitalization and connected product architectures, we offer smart technologies that support personalized experiences, predictive capabilities, and convenient solutions designed to simplify everyday life.
Our technology platforms enable high levels of performance across several application areas, including food preservation, cooking, textile care, dish care, home care, and personal care. These platforms are supported by continuous research and the development of innovative technologies.
We work to support longer product use by focusing on quality characteristics such as durability, reliability, and repairability under expected conditions of use. At the same time, our product development activities explore emerging areas including indoor air solutions, food and beverage technologies, robotics, and other potential fields for future growth.

We develop smart and connected product concepts by integrating Industry 4.0, into our production and service systems.

Smart Solutions for Products & Services
We ensure that innovative experiences and knowledge are shared through collaborations and we continue to develop smart solutions adapted to evolving societal needs. As digitalisation increases globally, we aim to engage with emerging talent and generate ideas that simplify life for our customers and stakeholders. We encourage open innovation and internal entrepreneurship as part of our corporate culture and collaborate with stakeholders such as start‑ups, universities, suppliers and cross‑sector partners. Our sustainability priorities guide the strategic direction of these initiatives.
European Commission Framework Programmes
We participate in Horizon Europe projects that support research, innovation and digital transformation in Türkiye and internationally, aligning with European Green Deal themes such as energy and resource management, low‑carbon technologies and circular‑economy approaches. Through collaborations with European universities, research institutes and industry partners, we strengthen cross‑border knowledge exchange and build capabilities in areas including IoT integration, connected products, AI‑based solutions, resource‑management technologies, advanced materials, automation and data‑driven manufacturing.
Alongside Horizon Europe, the Digital Europe Programme supports digital infrastructure development such as cyber security, 5G, cloud and edge computing, and data analytics. Together, these initiatives provide funding and expertise that reinforce our digital readiness and operational resilience.

Data Privacy
We are committed to protecting the privacy of all parties we collaborate with, and process personal data in compliance with all applicable data protection laws in line with the Arçelik Global Personal Data Privacy Policy. The relevant parties are informed about how the personal data is processed, for what purpose it is used, for how long it is kept, and in which cases it can be shared with third parties. Our company processes personal data lawfully, fairly, and for specified, explicit, and legitimate business purposes with an appropriate justification (on a legal basis) under applicable data protection laws.
Information Security & Cybersecurity
We recognize our responsibility to secure and protect all related information and data. Our aim is to minimize the risk of infringement of our trade secrets, intellectual property, and patents. We take precautions, implement strategies, and organize measures at all levels to achieve this goal. We manage our information technologies and operational processes to effectively minimize cyber risks and prevent any potential loss of reputation, revenue, market share, and brand value that may arise from information security risks. We carry out projects with the utmost care, keeping information security in mind.
IoT Cybersecurity
One of the important issues for our sector is the cybersecurity of Internet of Things (IoT) products. We are managing product security with three different virtual teams within the Cybersecurity Technology Team. We conduct regular vulnerability analyses and Test and Verification Teams to ensure the ongoing security of our products.
